What happens on this route?
Cappy underestimates Madagascar before the red soil even reaches his ankles. Following animals and smells instead of his map, he sunbathes beside lemurs, mistakes an indri’s call for an alarm, watches vanilla work, nearly eats two well-defended creatures, tries to rescue baobabs, and tiptoes through stone. His final search for a swim finds a water route made from linked lakes, rivers, and lagoons.
Western Madagascar’s Andrefana Dry Forests include spectacular formations resembling a forest of sharp limestone needles, alongside habitats for rare lemurs and birds.
