FIELD FILE IND / ROUTE 07

India

India’s vastness appears through languages, wildlife, play, mountains, festivals, science, and architecture rather than one single national image.

Cappy packed curiosity. The map is optional.

STORY DISPATCH#07

What happens on this route?

India greets Cappy with a quieter way to say hello and then fills his route with surprises: a peacock he mistakes for a fan, two games with long histories, a tiger hidden like a carpet, a mountain too great for an afternoon stroll, vivid festivals, tiny lamps, a lunar achievement, and the Taj Mahal at dawn. Each encounter asks him to pause before grabbing, hiding, climbing, or assuming.

The India–Bangladesh Sundarbans contain the world’s largest area of mangrove forest, and their tigers can swim long distances through the waterways.
